**Fixed Term Contract Duration: 12 months**

We are looking for a person to work on the SCONe (Scottish Clinical Optometry Network e-research) project and contribute to data retrieval (i.e. retinal photographs) from community optometrists in Scotland. The post holder will also help to develop the path to data-sharing and map current retinal imaging service provision within the optometry community in Scotland. Full time or part time working would be considered. Initial post length is 12 months with high likelihood of further extension.

**The Opportunity**:
SCONe is an exciting interdisciplinary project for the collection, curation and classification of retinal images and has the primary aim to investigate early-intermediate Age-related Macular Degeneration biomarkers and more widely, establish a world-leading retinal imaging biorepository

**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a field such as, for example, public health or optometry.
- Experience in delivering research projects including aspects such as study design, implementation and analysis.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Experience in clinical research
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly
