We are looking to recruit an experienced Level 3 Baby Room Leader. This is a permanent position and we are looking for someone who can work our Core hours 9.00 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Friday. Applicants must have experience of working with children ages 0-3, hold full paediatric first aid training and be on the DBS update service.

Tasks and Functions:

- To work as a key person, recording starting points, making observations to inform next steps, planning activities, keeping learning journeys up to date.
- Safeguarding children at all times through policies and procedures, risk assessments, and Ofsted guidelines. Report any safeguarding or developmental concerns to management teams.
- Ensure health and safety and safeguarding requirements are met, working in line with policies, procedures and risk assessments.
- Work in partnership with parents to tailored care and development, and communicate amongst team.
- Ensure timely starting point, baseline, termly assessments and leavers assessments.
- Attend regular training, team meetings and professional development.
- Work as part of a team, sharing information through effective communication
- Have a secure knowledge of the EYFS, characteristics of effective learning, Early Years outcomes and Ofsted requirements and ensure this is integrated in to practice.
- Maintaining children’s learning and development through regular observations, next steps, and progress monitoring. Ensure records are kept up to date and actively used to support learning and development.
- Be flexible to work additional hours to cover sickness and meet child ratio requirements.

Areas of Responsibility:

- Planning and teaching appropriate activities based on interests, age range and next steps
- Key person role - one to one support for each key child, responsible for care routines of key children, partnering with parents as well as teaching and assessing key children
- Providing the children with high quality care and learning opportunities
- Covering key children of any absent colleagues
- Enhancing the continuous provision and maintaining an organised and hygienic environment
- Carrying out peer observations and focused activity observations
- Ensuring all staff in pre school are up to date with any observations or assessments

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.44-£12.00 per hour
