**Overall Purpose**

We will encourage and welcome your naturally inquisitive nature as you seek to understand the operational challenges your colleagues face on site. The role holder will be providing HSE solutions with helpful advice delivered in a style that motivates and encourages our project teams.

We will also welcome the role holder to share knowledge and best practice with various forms of communications strategies which resonate and inspire from in-person during site visits, news updates, workshops to video clips.

**Key Activities**
- Managing and executing site inspections.
- Ensure there is a system of management of Health & Safety in place whereby all relevant hazards are identified and that the associated risks are, so far as reasonably practicable, eliminated, reduced or controlled.
- Ensuring method statements and risk assessments are understood and compliant at all times.
- Advising on and setting operational team safety objectives.
- Supporting and undertaking investigations into accidents and incidents.
- Contributing to pre-quals, new tenders and bids.
- Assessing external environments for safe working.
- Ensure that the quality of Health & safety training is of the highest standard and meets with current legislation.
- Identifying any gaps in the H&S management system; recommending improvements.
- Developing and implementing new initiatives or sharing best practice with colleagues.
- Advising on and communicating new working practices in line with any new legislative requirements or best practice.
- Carrying out announced and unannounced site visits.
- Working closely with the HR team to ensure compliance with required HSE competencies.
- Actively encouraging safety observations and hazard reporting.
- An innovative approach to HSE problem solving.
- Ability to share knowledge of HSE legislation in a pragmatic and inspirational way.

**Salary**: £27,647.49-£70,000.00 per year
