**1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (Down Syndrome)**

Twenty4Seven Education is thrilled to be working alongside this Large English medium Primary school located in a residential area of Newport. The school is seeking a caring and passionate Teaching Assistant to work one-to-one with a pupil with Downs Syndrome they will work on a one-to-one basis supporting the pupils throughout their daily school life.

They are looking for a passionate and dedicated teaching assistant to provide support for a pupil with Down syndrome and continue the supportive and caring learning the school provides.

**The Role**

**As a 1:1 TA you will**:

- Work one-to-one with a pupil with Down syndrome
- Assist the pupil in accessing the curriculum
- Assist the pupil in making progress academically, socially, and personally
- Get to know the pupil and learn how to support them further
- Work with the pupil and teacher to plan and put into action systems to help the pupil
- Support the classroom teacher and work in small groups completing learning activities set by the teacher
- Will be kind, passionate, and dedicated
- Will have an understanding of how to support children with Down Syndrome
- Will have experience working within an educational setting.
- Will have a good command of the English language.
- Will have an understanding of how to support children with SEN
- Will have experience working with children with Down syndrome
- Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential

**Salary**: £75.00-£85.00 per day
