Working 37.5 hours per week as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Nursing Associate role will see you bridge the gap between Healthcare Assistants and Nurses, supporting them and the wider team to deliver high quality, person-centred, compassionate careto Service Users.
With experience from the NHS or private sector, you'll have a natural way with people and be able to communicate effectively as you provide person-centred care and support for people with living with neurological and long-term conditions, including thoseliving with physical disabilities and recovering from traumatic injuries.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be supported and, will have access to a range of training courses and professional development to support your career growth.

What you will be doing
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and provide high-quality nursing care
- Be responsible for personal development and support the development and supervision of others by developing and maintaining specialist knowledge
- Work proactively to ensure that every Service User is well cared for
- Respond to emergency situations with composure, maintaining safety and seeking support, supporting the resident, family and other staff as required
- Maintain clear, accurate and concise clinical records
- Maintain resident dignity and confidentiality at all times
- Ensure clinical practice is evidence based or peer reviewed "best practice"
- Develop and maintain clinical skills and knowledge necessary to deliver and evidence-based service.
- To participate in the supervision, caseload monitoring and clinical education of student nurses and less experienced staff with support of senior staff
Where you will be working
The Dean Neurological Centre has 60 beds in Gloucester (GL2 9EE), which is on the outskirts of the town within easy commute from Gloucester, Cheltenham with good transport links. The Centre delivers specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for peoplewith complex long-term neurological conditions who require ongoing support and assistance to maximise functional ability.
It specialises in slow stream rehabilitation where the emphasis is placed on maximising each individual's abilities, comfort and quality of life. Bedrooms are fitted with high dependency equipment, including ceiling track hoists, wall mounted suction andoxygen equipment., with all rooms adapted to individual requirements. There are also well-equipped therapy facilities and other facilities such as gardens, gym and minibus.
