School Minibus Driver

We are recruiting for a temporary minibus driver on behalf of our client who are an independent day and boarding school for boys and girls based in LS28.

The role is Monday - Friday, based on 2 x 2 hour shifts per day starting at 06:45 and again at 15:45. This is a great opportunity for an experienced driver with time on their hands who wants to keep busy without the commitments of full time work.

**Pay**:
PAYE Advanced, £11.21 per hour (weekdays) - Holiday pay included.

PAYE £10.00 per hour (weekdays) - Holidays accrued.

The decision of which pay model to use is yours and will be explained to you by our team.

**The Role**:

- Operating one of the School’s bus routes, collecting pupils from given pick-up points along the route and delivering them to School (mornings); collecting them from School and
dropping them back at the given points (afternoons).
- Weekly cleaning of the buses, both inside and out.
- Ensuring signs inside the bus are properly attached and in good condition.
- Regular visual inspection/checking of tyres, lights, oil, water, fuel.
- Ensuring that any additional work required is communicated immediately to the Transport Supervisor.
- Adhere to all school policies including Health and Safety guidelines for minibus drivers.
- The school will allow the minibus to be taken home in the evening - saving fuel costs.

**Requirements**:

- Friendly and presentable
- Experience in a bus or minibus driving role preferred.
- Live within 15 minute commute to LS28
- Clean driving licence with D1 entitlement.
