**Then come and join Cadet Scheme at one of our units.**

Derbyshire Fire Cadets is an ongoing programme starting in September 2023 where young people commit to attend one night a week at one of our units during term time.

The programme provides young people with an insight into working within a uniformed service. It provides exciting and unique opportunities to develop skills in team work and citizenship through undertaking firefighter activities.

Cadets have the opportunity to gain recognised qualifications including Duke of Edinburgh awards and First Aid.

Recruitment for our units will be open until 30th June 2023 so please keep checking our website for details of how to apply

The Cadet units run at the following times and locations:

- Shirebrook Fire Station runs on a Monday from 18:15 - 20:45 hours
- Chesterfield Fire Station runs on a Tuesday from 18:15 - 20:45 hours
- Ilkeston Fire Station runs on a Wednesday from 18:15 - 20:45 hours
- Kingsway Fire Station runs on a Thursday from 18:15 - 20:45 hours
