Our amazing #TeamDonohoe are on the lookout for a fun and caring individual who loves a good sing along to join them as a **Support Practitioner **in Bishopbriggs.

**The Role**

You will join a dedicated team of **Support Practitioners **providing support to 4 individuals who have learning disabilities and other complex support needs, including physical disabilities.

As a **Support Practitioner**, you will play a crucial role in supporting these individuals with all aspects of daily living, including cooking, personal care, meal preparation, administering medication and the management of personal finances. You will support them to do the things they want to do out in the community and accompany them on any outings, including when attending health appointments. You will take an active role in the planning and delivery of person-centred care and be supportive and encourage the people we support to express their views and wishes. Our aim is to enable the people we support to live a fulfilling and valued life, where they can achieve their own personal goals and aspirations.

To be a great Support Practitioner, we'll need you have;
- Great communication skills.
- Able to think outside the box.
- Caring attitude and approach.
- Positive approach to learning.
- Able to follow guidelines.
- Confidence in the use of computers.

**Shift Patterns**

Our fabulous team provides tailored 2:1 support twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, so you should expect to work early mornings, evenings, sleepovers, waking nights, weekends and public holidays as part of your rota.

**Sleepovers are not included in your contracted hours and you’ll receive an additional sleepover payment of between £80.16 to £90.18 per night, depending on the needs of the service. Waking nights have an additional £20 per night.**

If you’re successful in joining our team, you will be expected to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and must be willing to work towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare as required for SSSC registration. We will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
