Wood Machinist

We are looking for a Wood Machinist to join our team here in Frome, Somerset where we produce a wide range of bedroom & dining furniture.

We are looking for someone with a good eye for detail, who can work within a fast paced environment and who enjoys working as part of a team and is happy to undertake any other relevant duties as required.

The hours are 7am to 4pm Mon - Fri & Pay is dependent upon experience.

Ideally you will have experience in the furniture manufacturing industry and will be familiar with using a Dovetailer, Spindle Moulder & Copy Lathe.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Set up and operate CNC routers to cut, shape, and trim materials according to specifications.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and make adjustments as needed.
- Maintain a safe and organised work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals efficiently and effectively.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
- Program, set up and operate CNC machines to meet production requirements
- Inspect machine performance regularly to optimise production and quality

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork skills

Pay is dependant upon experience but some on the job training will be provided.
