Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Operative

**Who are we looking for?**

We are looking for Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our team based in Mendip at our Waterlip depot near Shepton Mallet. Working on a fixed term contract due to expire at the end of October, you will be responsible for the delivery of a high-quality ground’s maintenance service to our clients. You will undertake a range of activities in this role including grass cutting, strimming, hedge pruning and flower bed maintenance. The working pattern for this position is 07:00 - 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 07:00 - 15:30 on Fridays. This will include a half an hour unpaid break totalling 44 hours per week.

**Are you who we are looking for?**
- Experienced and suitably qualified grounds maintenance operative;
- Experience of working on multi sites, high profile housing contracts would be desirable but not essential;
- The ability to read and understand site maps/plans and be able to navigate around Somerset and surrounding areas;
- Confident in organising daily works schedules and complete required daily check sheets for both sites and vehicle;
- A full driving license is essential with a desired trailer towing capability;
- Experience in the use of ride on mowers and horticultural machinery;
- Hold a PA1 and PA6 qualification for weed spraying - again this would be desirable but not essential;
- You will ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures; and
