HST Hiring Group are delighted to be seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our clients team.

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all purchases and expenses, ensuring timely payments to suppliers, and assisting with financial reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in various accounting software.

**Duties**:

- Process and record invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports
- Verify the accuracy of invoices and resolve any discrepancies
- Prepare and process payments to suppliers
- Reconcile supplier statements with outstanding balances
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchases and expenses
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts
- Generate financial reports related to accounts payable as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any payment or invoice-related issues
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in accounts payable processes

**Experience**:

- Previous experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or in a similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar programs
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and identify trends or discrepancies
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes and best practices
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £26,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
