Autism Support Worker

Nottingham Autism Support Service is looking for a highly motivated Support Worker to join an already strong and skilled team to enable the on-going person-centred support of a young adult with Autism and challenging behaviour.
This client will require 1:1 support within the community. Experience and knowledge of supporting clients with challenging behaviours is essential. The hours required for support are Fridays 15:00 - 18:00 with additional hours to cover holidays and absence.
- Encouraging client to make choices
- Travel training
- Provide ideas for person centred activities
- Be a successful part of a team where sharing ideas and developing skills is central to the role
Experience in mental health and a certificate in health and social care would be beneficial.
There are a variety of additional opportunities, if you are interested, to support other clients covering various flexible hours during weekday daytimes across the Mansfield, Nottingham and surrounding areas and we will look to match you with clients that suit your availability and locality.
We offer opportunities to gain additional qualifications relevant to the position.
