**Job Overview**:
As an IT auditor working the haulage industry, your role involves examining and evaluating an organization's information technology infrastructure, policies, and procedures to ensure they align with industry regulations, best practices, and organizational goals. You assess the effectiveness of internal controls, security measures, and risk management processes to identify vulnerabilities, potential threats, and areas for improvement. Your responsibilities may include.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Risk Assessment**: Identifying and prioritizing IT-related risks to the organization's assets, data, and operations.

2. **Compliance Verification**: Ensuring that the organization complies with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, such as GDPR, DVSA, etc.

4. **Control Testing**: Evaluating the effectiveness of existing controls and security measures in mitigating risks.

5. **Recommendations**: Providing recommendations for enhancing security, improving efficiency, and reducing risks based on audit findings.

6. **Documentation**: Documenting audit procedures, findings, and recommendations in audit reports for management and stakeholders.

7. **Continuous Monitoring**: Implementing systems for ongoing monitoring of IT systems and processes to ensure compliance and security.

8. **Education and Training**: Educating employees on IT security best practices and compliance requirements to foster a culture of security awareness within the organization.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a IT quality assurance, preferably within the haulage or logistics industry.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather and interpret complex data, identify patterns, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Proficiency in business process modelling techniques, requirements elicitation, and solution design methodologies.
- Experience with IT systems and software commonly used in the haulage industry, such as TMS, WMS, ERP, and CRM systems.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Problem-solving mindset, with a proactive approach to identifying issues, proposing solutions, and driving continuous improvement.

**Working Conditions**:

- The role is primarily office-based, with occasional travel to client sites, warehouses, or transportation hubs.
- May require working outside regular business hours to accommodate project deadlines or system maintenance activities.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT professionals, and external vendors.
- May be required to cover other functions such as driver or other staff absence.
- Must have or intend to have at minimum class 2 LGV driving licence.

Pay: From £31,100.00 per year
