She Advisor

Westlake’s Recruit are currently recruiting for a **SHE Advisor** with a background in Nuclear or Defence to be engaged on a **Permanent** basis in the **Cumbria area.**

**Must be able to obtain SC/DV clearance.**

**Responsibilities:
- Assess EHS risks and provide professional advice to Duty Holders in accordance with legislation and site policy & procedures. Where necessary document and produce technical reports in support of that advice.
- Identify and respond to EHS issues and concerns, providing advice on appropriate measures and controls to protect the environment and ensure safe delivery of the Programme/Project.
- Undertake inspections, observation, and assurance activities to identify and highlight EHS performance gaps, determine root causes and corrective actions in order to improve EHS performance.
- Support the Duty Holder in the investigation of EHS incidents and events, ensure corrective actions are taken, and learning opportunities identified and shared.
- Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of relevant EHS legislation, site arrangements and standards.

**Qualifications**:
- Broad understanding of EHS legislation, standards and EHS issues affecting the site and specific to the Programme/Project/OU.
- IOSH Working Safely.
- IOSH Managing Safely.
- NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety or equivalent.
