**Semi-Senior Accountant**

**Leicester**

**Up to £30,000 DOE**

Puro Accountancy are delighted to be supporting a well-established Accountancy Practice, who are seeking a highly motivated Semi-Senior Accountant to join their team in Leicester. You will be responsible for supporting the team in delivering high-quality services to their clients and ensuring all work is completed accurately and within deadlines.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare sole trader, partnership, and limited company accounts using clients' records and various accounts packages.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping and organise accounting records.
- Compiling statutory accounts and managing monthly accounts
- Prepare and submit VAT returns.
- Liaising with clients, acting as point of contact for enquiries
- Perform ad hoc administrative duties.
- Support with Corporate and Personal tax issues and dealing with HMRC
- Assist in the testing of audit assignments.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 2 years’ of experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice.
- AAT qualified or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Knowledge of Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks accounting software would be advantageous.
