**About The Role**:
As a family of Ofsted Outstanding community colleges, East Kent Colleges Group is now looking for an exceptional senior leader to take the reins of one of our most rewarding roles, as the new Principal of its EKC Dover College.

Your role will be varied and will include the day-to-day running of the College, leading the senior team to deliver the teaching, learning and assessment strategy, whilst implementing a rigorous process of self-assessment at programme, department, and college level. You will also be responsible for the College’s budget, overseeing resource deployment to ensure maximum value for money is extracted to deliver the highest quality of service for students.

**About You**:
As Principal, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the College, unleashing and enabling staff to deliver an incredible educational experience, and empowering our students to achieve their full potential. You will play the key role in leading a talented team of educators and staff, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and inclusivity. You will be comfortable executing the Group’s vision at an operational level, whilst feeding into the wider Group’s delivery against its Strategic Plan objectives.
- As a Group we are committed to our people. You will have responsibility for nurturing and growing all staff within the College, with specific line reports feeding into you directly. You will also take the lead in ensuring the implementation of all staffing policies and procedures.

We are a Group that prizes collaboration and partnership with others so you will need to be someone who wants to build relationships and represent the College at external and internal events and gatherings. You will need to be a master networker, able to build and maintain strong relationships with local, regional and national agencies and employers.

Alongside these tasks, you will also need to ensure the College meets its statutory obligations, complying with all regulatory legislation and procedures.

You will lead on all aspects of student performance to maximise the full potential and ambitions of every student and play a key role in the development and innovation of outstanding teaching, learning and assessment. The post holder will be the Colleges designated safeguarding lead, ensuring that students have a safe and welcoming environment.
