Trainee Mobile Plant Operative

**Hills Quarry Products** have an opportunity available for a **Trainee Mobile Plant Operative** to join our team at our **Mortimer Quarry in Reading**. **About the role**:
As our **Trainee Mobile Plant Operative, **you will be fully trained in how to drive a variety of mobile plant machinery, including Loading Shovel, as well as work towards an NVQ and Health & Safety Training. The training takes approximately 12 months to complete and provides qualifications in Mobile and Static Plant Operator with Level 2 Diplomas in Plant Operations and Processing Operations.

Your key responsibilities as our **Trainee Mobile Plant Operative **will include:

- Operate fixed and mobile plant as instructed by the Quarry Manager in a correct and safe manner.
- Carry out repair and maintenance work on fixed and mobile plant.
- Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills.

**What we’re looking for in our Trainee Mobile Plant Operative**:

- Aptitude for operating plant machinery and an interest in mechanical operations.
- Enthusiastic and committed.
- Interest in a career within quarrying.
- Physically fit to carry out manual handling activities.
- Some mechanical understanding would be advantageous.
- Previous experience or knowledge of plant machinery operations would be advantageous.
