Reed Secure are working with a major Law Enforcement organisation, they are seeking a Strategic Category Manager to join initially for 6 months with the potential for extension at there offices based in Kilburn.

This contract offers hybrid working arrangements, typically you will only need to be in the office 1-2 times a week although you will need to be flexible with regards to days based upon business needs.

Whilst your main office will be in Kilburn there will be times when you will be required to visit offices based at Sydenham, New Scotland Yard and Vauxhall.

This role is an integral part of Commercial Services. Working within the ICT team you will provide essential commercial support to the business, proactively managing one or more of the forces key contracts. You will contribute to delivering Commercial Excellence,providing a customer focused service, understanding the business need and stakeholder drivers, with the aim of becoming a trusted commercial advisor/

The force is adopting a life cycle management approach to delivering services therefore this role is designed to be flexible. You will play an essential part in managing and/or overseeing the overall commercial life cycle and whilst your day-to-day rolemay be managing contracts and supplier relationships, you may find yourself leading on any aspects of the commercial life cycle - from developing category/contract strategies and managing procurement processes to managing strategic supplier relationships androlling out commercial and contract management standards across the organisation. This role is dedicated initially to the.

**Essential Criteria - Skills**
- Highly effective communicator who can work with diverse group of stakeholders and senior managers.
- Experience of using systems to generate management information/reporting to drive decision making.
- Technology procurement experience and knowledge to support established Group Category Plans across the Technology category and enable implementation of Category Strategies.
- 3 years’ experience sourcing technology infrastructure, professional services and software including licensing requirements through Contracts Finder and Crown Commercial Frameworks
- Ability to prioritise and manage own workload whilst balancing both operationally urgent and important tasks to deliver to deadlines.
- Effective decision making and ability to clearly articulate recommendations escalated to senior managers.
- Good written & oral communication and interpersonal skill. Open minded and a good listener (to understand differing needs) but also persuasive and able to influence senior stakeholders at a senior level.
- Good report writing skills, experience business cases.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to deal with enquiries/requests/complaints/escalations and bring to a successful conclusion.
- Positive attitude, support and advance the development and capability self, the team and have the behaviours traits and skills to work within a diverse team.
