**About the Roles**:
We are looking for two driven and knowledgeable individuals to join our Parks and Countryside Team, supporting the management and care of Wirral’s proud Parks and Green Spaces, looking after some of the most scenic and loved sites in the borough. We are looking for two full-time Rangers, who will be enthusiastic and self-motivated people, skilled at communicating, and capable of forming strong effective partnerships with a wide variety of people. It is essential you have experience of engaging members of the public and working with volunteers on practical projects.

Birkenhead Park, the world’s first publicly funded municipal park and aspiring World Heritage Site, is seeking a dedicated person to join the team at the Visitor Services Team, where your main role will be looking after the Grade I listed landscape and its numerous listed buildings, with regular inspection, minor maintenance and repair works and supervision of volunteers on task days. You will also work within the Visitor Centre, providing information to visitors, delivering educational activities with local schools and visitors, and carrying out site-based interpretation to promote the history and heritage of the park. You should have a good understanding of conservation issues related to listed buildings and landscapes; good computer skills and experience of running activities with a variety of user groups.

We are looking for people with the following experience and qualifications:

- Qualifications appropriate to the post e.g. countryside management, environmental sciences, recreation
- An understanding of and ability to deliver excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Dealing with members of the public
- Working with children/schools.
- A knowledge and experience of conservation or recreation management.
- Experience of organising events and activities
- Use of modern methods of interpretation i.e. leading walks, giving talks etc.
- Maths and English level 3 or equivalent qualification or experience.
- Full Driving Licence
