**Established in 2005, Pets in the City is a small, professional, friendly business incorporating a boutique shop, doggie daycare center, and grooming parlour. We cater for all aspects of dog care including daycare, walking, grooming, and boarding at our sister company in Dorset.**

**The successful applicant must have good dog handling experience, have an excellent knowledge of all breeds, be fit, be prepared to walk in all weathers, be conscientious, have excellent spoken English, good timekeeping, well mannered, well presented and must have held a clean UK driving licence for over 5 years.**

**The applicant will predominantly spend their day picking up/dropping off dogs in one of our vehicles from our owner’s houses and walking 4 dogs at a time in various London parks 3 - 4 times per day or helping with washing and drying the dogs in our grooming parlour. Most dogs are walked off lead so experience in handling is essential. All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK, have a national insurance number, a clean UK driving license and provide good references. All applicants will be police checked.**

**Days/Hours are Mon - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. salary £26,910 intial hours 45 per week, with the option to drop to 27 hours (Tuesday to Thursday, salary will reflect this change) in September. Other duties will include liaising with clients, helping in shop/office or grooming parlour, picking up and dropping off dogs from their respective homes, general day-to-day chores in all aspects of business/shop/office when needed. There may also be opportunities to work extra hours and/or be promoted within the year.**

**Applicants who cannot drive will not be considered.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 27 - 45 per week
