**About the role**

Vorboss is looking for a driven and proactive Reinstatement Operative to join our expanding Civils Engineering division. The Reinstatement Operative will join the exciting team at Vorboss to perform excavations, duct lay, duct repair, chamber construction, and general street works within the Vorboss network.

We want to completely change the fibre network in London (and beyond) and we’re on the hunt for smart, talented people to join us.

**Responsibilities**

The Reinstatement Operative responsibilities will consist of (please note that this is not an exhaustive list):

- Ensuring that the safety of colleagues and the public are at the centre of everything you and the team do
- Site set-up including signage, lighting, and guarding
- Reinstatement of excavation sites in the footway and carriageway
- Experience with reinstatement of specialist materials such as, York stone slabs, cobblestone & granite sets
- A commitment to health and safety, including compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as the applicable regulations (NRSWA)
- Communicating back to the Civils Manager and planning team on the status of ongoing projects
- Assist when necessary in recording the required information from site
- Forward on to the coordination team when necessary all precise measurements and locations as the task is completed
- Liase closely when necessary with the coordination team and line manager
- To select the optimum techniques in order to minimise disruption to local residents, businesses and commuting motorists
- Ensure that the operational area is safe and that you work in a safe manner to make certain that members of the general public are not injured as a result of our works
- Site set up and removal in-line with NRSWA Streetworks
- Accurate and timely completion of all information related to completed and active jobs
- Full UK driver’s license
- Relevant NRSWA certifications
- Previous experience working on a Civils team in Reinstatement, with familiarity with all tools and equipment to undertake such works
