We search for, select and sell delicious Spanish foods through our Brindisa shops and website, and via wholesale to businesses throughout the UK. **The Job**

We are looking for a brilliant Team Leader to join our 15-strong, dynamic Retail team. Team Leaders are key players at Brindisa; they work across both our shops (Borough Market and Balham; one site per shift), leading the team to deliver the fantastic customer service that drives our sales. They are focused on ensuring that our shops look great and our team and customers are happy.

**The Person**

Passionate about great food and with the confidence to convey this to our customers on the shop floor. Proven team working and communication skills, calm under pressure and with a positive, “can do” attitude. Excellent attention to detail and a thorough approach to systems and processes.

**Working hours**
- Full-time or part-time: 5 days (40hrs) per week, Tuesday-Sunday (closed Mondays), typically 9.00am-5.30pm

**Location**

Brindisa shops in Borough Market and Balham (one site per shift).

**Key Responsibilities**

Full on-the-job training will be provided, once fully trained, your responsibilities will include:
Daily Retail Operations
- Ensure the completion of the Retail Daily Task List, delegating tasks effectively, monitoring performance, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Typical daily tasks will include: shop opening/closing procedures; stock ordering, replenishment and rotation; food safety checks; cleaning schedules; team lunch rota; cashing up etc.
- Ensure products are properly displayed and labelled, shelves are fully stocked, and the store is clean, organised, and visually attractive.

Team leadership
- Lead and supervise the full retail team working on the shop floor; briefing on daily and weekly targets, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their success.
- Provide guidance and reinforcement of company policies, including but not limited to health and safety, food hygiene, and customer service.

Customer Service
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service at all times.
- Engage with customers, understand their needs, offer personalised assistance, and ensure their satisfaction.

Sales Targets

Work with Retail Commercial Manager to:

- Drive sales growth by motivating the team and implementing effective selling techniques.
- Proactively identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products to maximise revenue.
- Monitor and report on sales performance and provide feedback and coaching to team members.
- Implement seasonal displays and promotional setups.

Product knowledge
- Develop a deep understanding of Brindisa's product range, including the origin, quality, and unique features of each item, in order to share this knowledge with your team and our customers. Full training will be provided.
