**ADMINISTRATOR**
Based in Rochdale, North Manchester our client is an established engineering firm. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join and support a successful Research and Development department to ensure that the customer has the bestpossible experience when they are on site. To enable this, the Administrator would manage all the administrative tasks associated with ensuring the smooth running of the customer centre. This is an office-based role, working Monday - Friday 8.30 - 5.30 withflexible start/finish times.
**THE JOB**:
Reporting to the Head of Research and Development, as Administrator you will be fully responsible for all the departments administrative support, which will include:
- Liaising with the customer to prepare quotations
- Requesting and chasing up purchase order numbers
- Preparing and providing invoices and chasing invoices where required
- Supporting the logistics for bringing materials to and from the Customer Centre
- Executing and administrating all the paperwork in relation to the logistics, packing and shipping for the customer
- Arranging for customs clearance
- Managing the administration of customer visits including:
- Arranging the logistics and administration for customer visits
- Providing support in organising the travel plans of customers visiting the Customer Centre
- Arranging airport pick ups
- Arranging bookings for hotels, sales lounge (meeting room) bookings, food and restaurants, company tours, etc.
- Collecting the necessary data needed for customer reports
- Requesting and chasing up customer experience feedback forms
- Ordering associated consumables needed in the Customer Centre
- Supporting the R&D Director on collecting any required information from the department
- Tracking the associated costs / invoicing against the planned budget
- Organising webinars for the team
**THE PERSON**:
The ideal applicant will be an experienced Administrator that has previously worked in a manufacturing or engineering environment supporting an administrative function or department.You will need to have excellent communication skills and customer serviceskills and the ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally. You will be expected to work to your own initiative and at times at some pace therefore, you must be a robust character that is highly organised, able to multitaskand confident at problem solving. You will need to be reactive to change and have a flexible approach to all that you do.
