Join our dynamic staff team and become a Support Worker with Mencap in our Tullyrush service within our Omagh Supported Living Services, **Northern Ireland**, you will actively be making a real difference to the lives of the people with a learning disability. Please note this service is located approximately 5 miles outside of Omagh Town Centre.

We have 1 temporary full-time waking night position available to cover maternity leave until October 2024 with the possibility of a permanent opportunity in the future - this will consist of working 9pm - 9am, week 1 working Monday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday Night, week 2 working Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday Night on a rolling rota basis.

Support workers with support and training will deliver a fantastic service to ensure the people we support live a more comfortable, dignified, independent and happy life. Care setting experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.

In the role of a Support Worker you will be:

- Excellent communication skills
- Be caring and patient
- Supporting people with their finances (paying bills, doing shopping etc.)
- You will actively be reducing social isolation by supporting to social groups & activities.
- Personal care - helping people to get ready for the day. This will include support with medication and assisting with all aspects of personal care e.g. Showering and to use the bathroom.
