A local Midlands based authority are looking for a Digital Safeguarding Support Administrator
Digital Safeguarding is a subscription service provided to over 180 Primary and 20 Secondary schools across the Warwickshire/Coventry region. The service monitors the desktop activity of school computers for safeguarding and security events, and reports any concerns directly to the school staff. It supports schools to meet the requirements of the Keeping Children Safe in Education agenda.
The role:
" To provide monitoring of our Digital Safeguarding service for both Primary and Secondary schools across the Warwickshire region.
" Real-time monitoring of our RADAR image capture and Smoothwall web filter systems, which detect and display incidents of concern on school devices.
" Investigation of any incidents detected, to include the creation of incident reports and contacting the Safeguarding Lead at any affected school.
You will need to demonstrate a good standard of literacy, have highly developed communication and organisational skills, show initiative, and have experience of taking ownership of a range of situations.
The ability to analyse sensitive data and respond quickly under pressure are also essential requirements as the volume of work can be high at certain periods. Experience of working with schools and knowledge of safeguarding is desirable
Training in the operation and maintenance of the monitoring systems will be provided

A basic knowledge of the Internet and networks would be an advantage
Full time (Monday to Friday 8:30 - 4:30), ideally term time only
Based in central Warwick for initial 3 x weeks training then a combination of home working and occasional meetings in central Warwick
Temp ongoing initially.
