**The Role**:
Reporting to the Operations Director the Head of Data Science is responsible for leading the data science team and driving the development and implementation of data science solutions to support business & client objectives. Their primary focus is to leverage advanced analytics and machine learning algorithms to drive innovation and improve performance.

**Role & responsibilities will include but are not limited to**:

- Develop and implement the Data Science strategy in line with D2 business objectives.
- Oversee Data science Projects.
- Collaborate across functions to ensure delivery on internal and cross-functional services.
- Develop and implement data governance
- Provide leadership.
- Act as an escalation point for Staff and clients.
- Actively develop the Data Science functions client portfolio and service offerings.
- Training and development of Data science Team
- Accuracy and integrity of data
- Deliver data insights.
- Management of day-to-day activities including operations and people within the Data science team
- Create a positive work environment within the team promoting the D2 core values.

**ESSENTIAL SKILLS**:

- A strong technical background in data science, including statistical analysis, Artificial Intelligence, and machine learning.
- Understanding of the organization’s business objectives and use data to drive business decisions.
- Inspire and motivate a team to achieve goals, as well as provide guidance and support as needed.
- Communicate complex data science concepts in a way that is understandable to non-technical stakeholders.
- Communicate the impact of data-driven decisions and explain the technical details of data science projects to business leaders.
- Think strategically and develop a vision for how data can drive the organization forward.
- Manage multiple data science projects simultaneously, including setting timelines, coordinating resources, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- collaborate effectively with other departments within the organization, including IT, marketing, and finance.
- Adapt to new technologies, tools, and methodologies as they emerge. Project Reporting experience
