Salon Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Assistant to join our team here at shepherds. As a an Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting other team members and providing exceptional customer service to our clients. This is a paid position that offers valuable hands-on experience in a very busy saloon environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist stylists and technicians with various salon tasks, including shampooing, conditioning, and blow-drying hair
- Prepare salon stations and ensure they are clean and well-stocked with supplies
- Greet clients and provide excellent customer service throughout their experience
- Schedule appointments and manage the salon's appointment book
- Maintain a clean and organized salon environment

**Requirements**:

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must be flexible, reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and demeanor

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £6.50-£11.44 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 8.5 per week

**Experience**:

- stylist: 1 year (preferred)
- Hairdressing: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Hairdressing NVQ/SVQ Level 2 (preferred)
