Invicta Community & Leisure operating through its 4 venues has become a hub for a wide range of activities and events for the local community in line with the charity’s overall objectives. The Association operates 4 venues and additional commercial operations to raise funds to sustains its facilities and fund its community projects. The charity has undergone significant growth in the last 3 years, as part of its strategy to become self-funding to support its 5 areas of work being;

Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, working alongside the Senior Leaders and our Heads of Site you will lead a team of staff and volunteers to deliver the day to day operations of the Charites sites, ensuring they are safe, complaint and great places for people to visit. Particular focus will be on our flagship community centre in Faversham, where you will be based, You will ensure your team are motivated and helping generate the maximum income potential for the site to ensure its sustainable operations.

The Faversham Site Group, includes two sites one small site which involves a small amount of organisations, and then our largest site which has a busy gym, café, events bar and multiples rooms that are hired out that you will be responsible for, and soon will also have a soft play area built which is also part of the role to manage, at which point an assistant manager will be recruited to work within your team.

OVERALL/STRATEGIC RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Grow the income of the sites in all area of operation to ensure sustainability

2. Manage operating costs of site particularly delivering staffing costs target and gross profit

3. Ensure the sites are safe and compliant

4. Have welcoming sites the community enjoy using and see as benefiting them

5. Build a strong team who are invested in the charity and gain regular development

6. Coordinate cross site and off site operation

**Responsibilities**:
Bookings
- Manage the central bookings team in dealing in queries for booking and showing around potential hirers
- Ensure all upcoming booking are planned for in a written plan that is available to all staff, each week, with roles clearly allocated, and a rota to match
- Ensure resources for booking are in place, and catering request are made
- Where key bookings slots are not filled put towards business plans for events and if approved, fund these to generate income
- Proactively seek out potentially new regular hirers and aggressively market 1 off booking services

Safety and compliance
- Ensure site and operations are safe at all times, through regular Due Diligence, staff training, business walk, ensure the site and operations risk assessments are being followed
- Act on issues identified in your own Due Diligence checks as well as safety manager audits, exec audits and SLT business walks
- Ensure COSHH are correctly handled, used and stored
- Make request for marketing material through correct channel
- Make request for reactive maintenance, and follow up
- Make request for site improvement
- Work with maintenance team to ensure the maintenance schedule is followed
- Ensure all cash is recorded and secured, assist in investigating any variances
- Ensure food and drink areas maintain 5 star EHO standard
- Ensure the site is always cleaned to a high standard and customers are impressed

Bar
- Ensure licencing objectives are met
- Ensure bar areas are cleaned and presentable, including cellars and lines
- Ensure staff are trained on stock controls, service standard, perfect serve and licencing
- Have robust system in place to deliver GP target
- Ensure all events have a bar risk assessments, and the required staff are in place for this
- Ensure stock is order for events and received on the EPOS system

Staffing

Ensure the Faversham Team have robust training and are able to cover operations when you are covering or supporting other Heads of Site
- Ensure rotas are in place for approval 2 weeks prior to the start of the week, covering all operations
- Approve holiday requests for team (sole site) ensuring sufficient cover is in place
- Plan/arrange cover for sickness and absence
- Work with the assistant CEO to recruit gaps in the team within budget
- Ensure staff have required training to excel in their role
- Ensure staff have regular reviews and are supported on the career pathway
- Ensure staff actively safeguard users, and following the safeguarding policy at all times

**Leisure **(Gyms, Café, Soft play, Climbing wall and pitches)
- Ensure leisure areas are clean, safe and meet brand standards
- Ensure sufficient staff are in place to run service within set operations times
- Maximise leisure income through high standard and effective marketing
- Work to ensure all service user
