The Project Portfolio Manager will manage a portfolio of projects focusing on product, process and system development, providing long-term delivery and project effectiveness. The Project Portfolio Manager will play a key role in change and stakeholder managementand provide project assurance to the Heads of Service and Directors to create a roadmap for future change.

Our client is a proud Welsh third-sector business that now sees digital technology and data as a strategic enabler for transformatin. The business is embarking on a 5-year technology journey and the Project Portfolio Manager will help technology refreshprojects including a priority to deliver a cloud transformation move using the Microsoft Power Stack and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

**Responsibilities**
- Coordinate the effective and efficient operation of portfolio and project management practices.
- Organise and run the Portfolio steering group meetings and update Heads of Service and Directors.
- Providing support to the Head of Business Change and IT and the Director of Transformation.
- Day to day management of trainee Project Managers and Business Intelligence teams.
- Prepare project dashboards and associated reporting
- Ensure agreed project and portfolio benefits are tracked and realised, developing, and improving systems to enable this.
- Oversee and manage projects, delivering projects on time, to quality and cost measures.

**Experience needed**
- A proven influencer and communicator with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven experience in project or portfolio delivery including providing portfolio assurance and governance.
- Proven experience in translating business analysis, requirements definition and business case production into practical implementation.
- Professional Project Management qualification.
- Experience in business case writing.
- Highly organised and skilled at creating and monitoring complex plans.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including professional and informal reporting as required for different audiences.

**Remuneration Package**
- Permanent contract
- Circa £55,000 per annum
- 37.5-hour working week + flexibility
