Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Payroll Assistant. As a Payroll Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with payroll processing and ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll for employees
- Enter employee data, such as hours worked, into the payroll system
- Calculate and process deductions, including taxes, benefits, and garnishments
- Review timesheets and resolve any discrepancies or issues
- Prepare payroll reports for management review
- Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation
- Maintain accurate payroll records and files
- Provide support to employees regarding payroll inquiries

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in payroll administration or related field is a plus
- Proficiency in using payroll software such as QuickBooks, Sage and Zero
- Knowledge of human resources processes and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
- Strong analytical skills to analyze payroll data and identify discrepancies
- Familiarity with accounting software for accounts payable functions is a plus

Pay: £22,480.69-£29,562.04 per year
