The aim of Samaritans’ awarding-winning media guidelines work is to support the media industry, and others across the suicide prevention sector, in approaching the topic of suicide responsibly.

We’re looking for someone to join our team who can demonstrate good working knowledge of the media industry, working in an advisory capacity and demonstrable experience in communications and engagement.

As Media Adviser you’ll lead on our work with local suicide prevention partners to support them in communicating on issues relating to suicide and self-harm, including press and pr and responding to local issues and opportunities.

You’ll need excellent skills in collaborating with others to engage and influence outcomes, along with experience of producing reports and interpreting data to recommend change.

This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in our campaign to reduce suicides in the UK.

- Full time, (35 hours per week) with flexible working practices
- £33,850 per annum
- Hybrid working - This role is ‘linked’ to our central office (Ewell), with the choice to work from the office or from home to meet your needs.
