Job Description

Position Summary

A 6-month fixed term position is available for an enthusiastic and highly motivated scientist within the DMPK department at Vertex Pharmaceuticals in Oxfordshire. As a member of the DMPK team, you will be lab-based and involved in carrying out routine in vitro assays in support of in-house drug discovery projects.

Key responsibilities:

- To perform routine in vitro assays on a weekly basis and to process, interpret and summarise data in a timely manner.
- To provide new data to project teams in a timely manner, with appropriate quality checking and following data integrity principles.
- To troubleshoot issues with both assay and equipment.
- To participate in other DMPK tasks as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience in the following is highly desirable:

- In vitro DMPK assays
- LC-MS/MS experience
- Use of automated liquid handling systems
- Microsoft Excel
