We are looking to recruit a proactive, resilient, ambitious leader of Reading and Literacy, to deliver and co-ordinate high quality teaching and learning across our school family. Recent knowledge and experience of teaching to GCSE level is essential. SEN experience would be an advantage, but our overriding priority is to find the right person to join our team. We are interested in hearing from applicants who are experienced in leading reading and literacy to further develop our school wide approach.

We currently offer a range of qualifications for our students including Entry level, Functional Skills as well as GCSEs. All students are given their own laptop when they join the school, and we are well resourced as a new setting. You will work with a team of staff, including a team of highly trained RWI practitioners, to equip students with a love of reading, oracy, and writing. Our core purpose is to empower all our students to thrive as independent, skilled adults who can navigate the multiple demands of the wider world.

We are developing an excellent reputation for providing student-centred learning and support with the highest level of challenge to ensure our students attain the highest standards of personal, social, emotional, and academic development. We have 85 students currently on roll, all of whom are in receipt of an Education, Health and Care Plan.
