The School wishes to appoint a highly motivated individual to join our enthusiastic and committed MBBS teaching team. The postholder will contribute to design, delivery and assessment of the prescribing element of the curriculum in the MBBS and Physician Associate courses, to ensure that students are safe and effective prescribers by the time of graduation, and are optimally prepared for external prescribing assessments.

Holding full registration with the GPhC and a degree in Pharmacy, you will have experience of working to professional standards within a clinical setting relevant to the role. A teaching qualification of the Higher Education Academy or a willingness to undertake one is a must as is having a postgraduate diploma in a relevant area. Applicants will have experience of the Prescribing Safety Assessment, as well as having excellent communication and organizational skills.

You will be an active networker and have the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Applicants need to meet all essential criteria on the person specification to be considered for interview. The post will largely be based at UCLan Burnley campus, with a further part at Preston campus and East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. Occasional travel to other sites including the UCLan Westlakes campus may be required.
