This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has an interest in technology and engineering to work with a dedicated team of health care professionals providing Electronic Assistive Technology to improve independence for clients with severe physical disabilities. The post holder will support the team to manage electronic and mechanical equipment provided to clients. This will include various aspects of equipment management; ordering parts, database entry, managing stores, receiving equipment, fault finding, collecting and dropping off equipment to clients in their home.

The post holder will be expected to work as part of the multi disciplinary team providing duties associated with the delivery of technical services as part of the RECES. This service is commissioned by NHS England.

The post holder will be supporting the team to deliver safe and effective provision of electronic assistive technology to individuals with service disabilities to supporting them maintaining their independence.

the post holder will support the team to effectively manage the cycle of equipment management. It would be advantageous for the applicant to have an interest in technology and engineering.

The Regional Environmental Control Service (RECES) is based in Billericay and covers the North East Thames Region. The existing team are looking for someone to fill this new role to join their establishment.

The team is co located with two other regional services, prosthetics and wheelchair services and they share a space and support services as a whole. The successful applicant will be able to gain additional skills working alongside these other services.

The post holder will be expected to support the ordering of equipment for approved suppliers.

The role will also monitor, order, receipt, asset manage and decontaminate and store items in the allocated areas.

There will be the opportunity to support the existing clinical technologist in refurbishing and testing equipment received by the service.

If repairs are required, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring faults are recorded and solutions found.
