**IT Operator (Overnight batches, Interfaces) - £31-33K +On-Call allowance + Bonus and Benefits**

Our client is a family run business, with an amazing product and customer centric approach. They have 180 stores in the UK and a rapidly growing online, International and concessions business. They really care about people, customers and the communities in which they trade and are now looking for an IT Operator to be based out of their amazing Amersham head office.

As the new **IT Operator (Overnight batches, Interfaces)** you will make up a team of three and will be responsible for ensuring that all business IT systems are monitored. This will include responsibility for the identification of interface errors and IT batch processing failures, managing these issues through to resolution.

The **IT Operator (Overnight batches, Interfaces)** will be working on shift rota. Making sure to cover the hours of 6am to 10pm between the three of you. Ultimately this will evolve to cover 24 hours in the long term. You will also be on a rota for providing Out of Hours Weekend support too, this will be one weekend in three and will be four hours in total and well compensated.

On a daily basis the **IT Operator (Overnight batches, Interfaces)** will,
- Be the main point of contact for all alerts and problems from all areas of IT.
- Act as a clear communications channel to the support teams of issues highlighted.
- Escalation to manage all major operations and production issues.
- Liaising with 3rd party vendors and external support.
- Manage batch and interface jobs.
- Input into problem management and change management.
- Undertake system administration tasks as needed.
- Undertake security patching across all IT systems and follow the IT Change Control process.
- Assist with the running of the annual audit reports and escalate compliance concerns.
- To recommend improvements to enhance the delivery and reliability of production systems.
- Improve production operations by identifying any process that can be automated and highlight to management.
