Market Superintendent

As the Kirkby Lonsdale Market Traders Co Operative Market Superintendent, you would be responsible for all aspects of running the weekly charter market in Kirkby Lonsdale.

You would report directly to the chairperson, in his/her absence you would report to any other committee member available.

Your Duties, would include but are not limited to:
Running the booking system and ensuing as much as possible that all pitches are booked each week.

Passing to the Treasurer all invoicing requirements.

Coordinating the placement off the No Parking Signs in Market Square on a Wednesday Afternoon/Evening.

Coordinating the set-up and take down of the market each Thursday.

Being on hand throughout the trading period to supervise the running of the market and respond to any incidents that may occur.

Ensuing that all aspects of Health & Safety and market rules are complied with.

A degree of computer literacy will be required, but training can be given.

Not essential, but desirable that you are able to use social media.

Your employment status with the Kirkby Lonsdale Market Traders Co Operative would be on a self-employment basis, working as a sub-contractor invoicing the co-operative monthly and you would be responsible for paying your own Government Taxes.

This post would suit someone is semi/retired with a love for the outdoors and lives local to Kirkby Lonsdale.
