**Job Title**: Textile & Resilient Floor Laying Trainer

Are you an experienced Floor layer that would like to pass on your skills and knowledge to young Apprentices and like minded others? Have you got experience in both modern and traditional style floor laying that could be used to pass on to the next generation?

Webs Training deliver recognised qualifications within the Construction and Furniture Industry meeting the needs of the industry, employers and their employees.

Main duties and responsibilities:

- To plan and manage the practical training of each apprentice and their employers development needs.
- Deliver high quality training sessions for both day release and block release apprentices. Training sessions should challenge and stretch the apprentice whilst giving the opportunity to express themselves and be creative.
- Visit apprentices and their employers on site to observe and capture their performance. Ensure that the apprentice meets targets set and is making sound progression in achieving their qualification.

As a Floor laying Trainer you will teach the apprentices how to:

- Work safely and securely in compliance with given information, organisational policies and procedures, and current health, safety, environmental and welfare legislation
- Select and use appropriate personal protective equipment for the floor laying task
- Plan the work to be carried out in accordance with the job specification, including; assessing the sub floor and work area, measuring, producing scale drawings, setting out, calculating material quantities and determining the resources needed (including the tools and equipment)
- Prepare the work area including securing the site, the removal and appropriate disposal of existing floor covering
- Assess and evaluate physical and environmental conditions to ensure successful installation eg temperature, humidity, condition of the site
- Carry out remedial works in line with the specification
- Dispose of and recycle waste materials appropriately
