Our client, a charity based in Birmingham**,** is looking for an approachable, confident HR Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis. The charity aim to support those with disabilities help communicate and experience the world.

The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The salary for this role is between £29,000 - £31,000, and offers 3 days a week working from home.

**Duties will include (but not limited to)**:

- Delivering successful end to end management of complex employee relations casework including investigations, sickness, disciplinary, grievance, probation, performance, appeals and making referrals to Occupational Health when needed
- Effectively engaging and coaching managers to reduce caseload by early interventions and provide pragmatic HR solutions and recommendations
- Assisting the HR People Partners with the administration and co-ordination of change management projects
- Sharing best practice and changes in employment case law with the HR Advice Team and Managers
- Complying with Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy in all activities and ensuring it’s fully implemented in the teams they support
- Accurately maintaining and updating casework records and electronic employee records, ensuring they are up to date and comply with GDPR
- Co-ordinating and delivering training to employees when required in order to fill gaps in knowledge

**Experience required**:

- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience
- End to end management of high-volume casework up to and including dismissal with a particular focus on informal resolution of cases.
- Proactively partnering and coaching managers
- Engaging and collaborating with stakeholders effectively
- Reviewing policies and procedures and delivering training

**Skills, knowledge and expertise required**:

- Proven up to date knowledge of case law, employment law and best practice
- Good IT skills: confident with Office 365, knowledge of HR systems
- Confident communicator at all levels, able to present sensitive or complex information in a clear and easily understood format
- Able to work autonomously and manage a high workload of competing priorities
- Approachable, proactive can-do customer focused attitude.
- Excellent organisational skills, time management and attention to detail

**Working hours**:

- 37.5 hours per week
- Monday - Friday 9.00am-5.00pm - can be flexible
- Flexible working is available
