You'll join the agency as a Associate/Director, working as part of the eCommerce team to lead commerce for one of the agencies biggest FMCG clients for the top 4 European markets and supporting the Head of eCommerce in strategic projects across the agency.The role will be 50/50 across the client and the agency, being accountable for driving excellence in eCommerce
You will use your ecommerce expertise to deliver media planning frameworks, advise markets on how to activate ecommerce to achieve business goals, follow best in class thinking and promote innovation. You will work as part of a wider activation team to providecommerce leadership to ensure we are achieving business goals.
KEY CLIENTS AND PROJECTS
This role is unique in that it forms part of a team who are responsible for devising the FMCG client's European strategy but also leading the local ecommerce teams responsible for strategic planning and buying. Integrating brand and eCommerce media is keyfor the client. This role requires someone who is passionate about commerce and has knowledge across the marketing channels to create strategic plans which can deliver both brand and eCommerce objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will have proven extensive experience either planning and activating eCommerce media
- You need to have a good understanding of media agency business, either by working in or closely with an agency.
- You will be very comfortable managing relationships with clients and colleagues, and will have experience managing people.
- You will own areas of content on new business pitches and products and should expect to be asked to present your work.
- You will build relationships with people from across the agency and learn from their experience, to unlock new opportunities to grow our commerce revenue
- You need to be a proactive and curious learner; keen to develop and learn new skills independently and share and collaborate with a wider team.
- You will be responsible for building relationships with Global tech and retail partners
SKILLS AND TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
- Have holistic knowledge of eCommerce channels and ability to deliver strategies that advance clients and delivers against business objectives.
- You will be the overseer of ensuring that strategic excellence and operational delivery are aligned and achieved across your client's key markets
- Manage relationships with platform owners such as Dunnhumby, Citrus Ads, Amazon etc. Knowledge of marketplaces and egrocery is preferable.
- Build relationships and be a key POC for the key regional clients. You will be the point of escalation for commerce challenges
- You will understand your client's priorities and challenges and make sure that the work delivered by the team meets these objectives.
- You will have day-to-day contact with our local teams and will be an ambassador for your team. Great client service is obviously essential, but you must also protect your team against unreasonable demands on their time.
- You will manage the workload of the team and make sure that everyone has everything they need to deliver their best work & high standard of work
- Manage client's expectations for OOS projects and ensure we have the right team internally to deliver.
- Based on your experience, you will be able to quickly evaluate different routes to choose the most efficient way to any challenge.
