Weighbridge Clerk

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Weighbridge Clerk at Interfuse in Syston.

Interfuse Ltd is a family run business, established in 1965 for the manufacture of precast masonry blocks.

Our Syston Plant is one of the most modern in the UK, allowing the production of dense and lightweight blocks in a range of sizes which are then distributed through builders’ merchants to customers throughout the country.

This is a part time position where your main responsibility will be to despatch day to day deliveries to hauliers.

**Key accountabilities**
- Checking lorries when they arrive and leave, ensuring they have the correct load
- Booking site visitors in and out of the weighbridge area
- Answering phone calls and dealing with enquiries from drivers efficiently
- Despatch delivery tickets using the sales and order processing system
- Issue despatch tickets to hauliers to enable delivery
- Liaise with despatch office and hauliers regarding day to day issues and performance face to face and via phone
- Process sales using the credit card machine
- Compliance with health & safety policies, risk assessments & procedures at all times
- Carry out additional duties within your skill and competence
- Compliance with GDPR at all times

Full training will be given on our sales and order processing system.

**Relevant qualifications or experience required**
- Previous experience as a Weighbridge Clerk or similar role (desirable)
- Good customer service skills - essential
- Experience in using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Numeracy skills - essential

Hours of work: Monday and Tuesday 8.00am - 4.30pm, however flexibility will be required to cover holiday and sickness on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
