The Cardiology department is looking for an experienced administrator to join the team as the MDT Coordinator for the service on a full-time, permanent basis.

You will ensure that all patients in the Cardiology department pathways are pro-actively tracked through the appropriate patient pathway from referral to admission for the Trust. In addition, you will provide administrative and informational support for the multi-disciplinary teams, working closely with the Clinical Lead, Service Manager, clinical teams, audit staff and cardiology services.
- Referrals are actioned in accordance with Trust standards/procedures, as a result of the MDT meeting outcome.
- Liaising closely with Consultants, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Secretaries, and the radiology department, as well as referring hospitals to the Trust, to identify which patients are to be discussed at MDT meetings.
- Where clinical information is lacking, and preventing the patient from being presented at the MDT meeting. Liaise with the referring hospital to ensure that all relevant correspondence (CDs, x-rays, notes, diagnostic reports etc) are available for the meeting
- To ensure that the room is schedule for future meeting dates and prepared prior to the MDT meetings, venue is booked on an annual basis
- Produce the agenda for patients to be discussed at the daily MDT meetings, negotiating times with external consultants.
- Maintain an up to date attendance list
- Locate various tests results and ensure that they are available for meetings and triage of referrals. Patients are booked into the appropriate clinic at their referring hospital or listed for procedure following MDT, informing internal and external stakeholders.
- Arrange the migration of images
