WHAT TO EXPECT
As the Aftermarket Technical Legislation & Licensing Lead, you will be working within the Technical Service Integration team helping to identify, implement and manage new and current external revenue opportunities. There will be plenty of opportunity in this role for cross functional collaboration, whether it be supporting the TOPIx team with implementing new solutions for revenue or to meet new legislative requirements, to liaising with legal, brand protection and the regulations team to assist with the protection of JLR’s intellectual property, copyright and database security.
You will represent JLR within technical forums in relation to the creation and development of technical standards and legislation for repair and maintenance information, ensuring our commercial and customer interests are best represented. In addition to this, you will be responsible for managing current licensing agreements and data supply for technical licencees, as well as identifying new revenue opportunities for technical and diagnostic information with the goal of generating income.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
In this role you will develop and improve current licencing and revenue processes to maximise revenue generation, reduction in duplication, efficient data supply and other value-added initiatives/efficiencies that enable quicker and effective licence management.
**Further responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
Represent JLR in various forums related to the development of global aftermarket standards to ensure that JLR commercial interests are maximised whilst ensuring regulatory compliance.
Cross functional working with Legal, Brand Protection and the Regulations Team, to assist with the protection of JLR’s copyright, intellectual property and database security.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stake holders, licencees, external partners and sponsors.
Preparation and reporting of monthly status reports for current and ongoing activities.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone that has good commercial awareness of automotive aftermarket activities with extensive experience of technical documentation, publishing systems and diagnostic tooling.
**Essential**:
Good commercial awareness in relation to aftermarket automotive activities
Relationship and contract management experience, preferably in a licensing environment
Experience in the area of technical documentation, publishing systems and diagnostic tooling
Awareness and working knowledge of markup languages (XML, HTML and scripting languages)
