Atkins Building Design practice are looking to recruit an **Assistant / Graduate Building Surveyor** to work in a multi-disciplinary environment to deliver a full suite of Building Surveying duties out of our Bristol office. We can offer extremely varied and interesting work with a number of high profile public and private sector clients.

The role will be based out of our **Bristol** office and will be **full time (37.5 hours per week).**

As well as technical competence, we are looking for individuals who possesses great communication, strong commercial awareness and experience, and who will provide a first-class service to our clients.

This position would be an excellent opportunity for an Assistant/ Graduate Building Surveyor in a company that supports training and provides a successful and established APC programme.

**Responsibilities**:

- Carry out measured and condition surveys, inspections, schedules etc and the overall management of minor works projects.
- Responsibility, under minimum supervision, for smaller projects and assistance on major projects with supervision and support where required.
- Design and Specification including the preparation of drawings.
- Attendance at / and leading on meetings with clients and other technical specialists.
- Contributing technical skills and knowledge to the team in order to maintain and improve the quality of our work and the expertise of our people.
- Managing the client relationship and service delivery on a project-by-project basis in conjunction with senior colleagues.
- Assisting with the development of new and repeat business where possible.

**Requirements**:

- Building Surveying degree (or equivalent qualification).
- Ability to demonstrate good all-round surveying knowledge / expertise.
- Desire to develop a career within a consultancy environment.
- Committed to work towards RICS Chartered status.
- Good team working skills.
- Good IT skills, Word and Excel as a minimum. Knowledge of CAD systems would be an advantage.
- Full understanding of the importance of Health and Safety requirements.
- Driving Licence.
