We are currently looking for a Level 2 or 3 practitioner to join our nursery in Woodford Green, we are currently rated 'good' by Ofsted and offer childcare for children aged 3 months - 5 years. We are biased a short walk form Woodford Station. We have three class rooms, Caterpillar room 3months - 2 years, Ladybird room 2-3+ years, Butterfly room 3-4 years, All class rooms have access to a spacious garden.

We are a well established business celebrating our anniversary of 20 years this year. We have branches biased in Redbridge, Barking, Dagenham, Norfolk and Cambridge.

**JOB PURPOSE**:

- To provide a high standard of care and education for all children
- To work as an active member of the staff team
- To ensure children are safeguarded from harm
- To comply with the General Data Protection Regulation

To provide service delivery within the requirements of the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage, Development Matters and Every Child Matters

**Main Duties and Responsibility**
- To make sure all children have full access to the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, making sure all planning is completed and implemented
- To help create and foster development, safety and welfare of the children including the positive management of children’s behavior
- To work as part of a team to plan, prepare and deliver activities to meet the individual needs of all children under Chestnut Nursery School’s care including those with Special Educational Needs
- To work as part of a team to provide activities and resources within the nursery which reflects the multi cultural nature of the local community
- To provide a welcoming, happy, safe and friendly environment for all
- To develop an awareness and understanding of religious, ethnic and cultural differences and to incorporate these into activities and the daily routine of the nursery
- To help prepare and serve snacks and main meals for children in the nursery, being aware of individual dietary requirements and following the nurseries food policy
- To contribute to providing a safe and secure environment for the children in the nursery
- To attend and contribute to nursery staff meetings as required
- To be a good role model for students and help new staff settle into the nursery environment
- To encourage parents and carers to be involved in the setting and their children’s learning
- To attend at least 3 parents/carers meetings a year (these may occur outside standard working hours)
- To attend at least one Saturday open day per year
- To take responsibility for the care and use of resources
- To be a key person for a group of children ensuring their time at nursery is fun, educational and they are well cared for
