**Job Title: Cover Supervisor**

**Location: North Shields**

**Start Date: September 2023**

**Salary: £95 - £115 per day**

**Hours: 8.30 am - 3.30 pm**

Look no further GSL Education is here to offer you the perfect role starting from September in the beautiful location of North Shields. At GSL Education, we understand the vital role that Cover Supervisors play in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.

**As a Cover Supervisor, you will have to**:

- Supervise classes across the curriculum in the event of a teacher absence.
- Ensure that pupils are engaging in pre-planned work.
- Manage pupil behaviour to create a safe and positive learning environment.
- Liaise with other staff members in regard to work being set and ensure you have all suitable resources.
- Provide feedback to the class teacher on pupil attendance, engagement and completion of work tasks.

**To be a successful Cover Supervisor you should**:

- Hold an NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher or be a Graduate considering a career in education.
- Have knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies (training can be provided).
- Have the ability and willingness to undertake additional training and courses to enhance your professional development.
- Empathise with young people and have good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Have the ability to use your own initiative to work flexibly and be able to respond to different situations.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with us).
- A full checkable work history.
- In addition to that, we are currently offering £100 for the successful referral of either Teachers or Teaching Assistants_
