Research Associate in Algebraic Geometry

Applications are invited for a Post Doctoral Research Associate in the Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics to work on Algebraic Geometry and related areas, with a focus on moduli theory, enumerative geometry, toric and tropical geometry, and cognate fields. The position is for 36 months. The post holder will be encouraged to pursue their own lines of research, as well as potentially collaborate with the members of the research group of Dhruv Ranganathan. The position will be funded by Ranganathan's EPSRC Frontier Research Guarantee grant (in lieu of an ERC Starting Grant).

In addition to conducting individual and collaborative research projects, the role holder is expected to assist with organising the research seminar, and engage in the mentorship of PhD students, master's students, and undergraduates. The post holder will also be asked to plan and deliver lecture series close to their areas of interest and expertise. No lecturing duties are required.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 3 years in the first instance.
