Here at **Human Appeal,** we have an exciting opportunity for a **Head of Quality and Accountability **to join our team based in** Cheadle, Greater Manchester**.** **You will join us on a full-time basis, on a permanent contract, and in return you will receive a competitive salary of **£50-60k per annum.**

Human Appeal is a faith-based charity that aims to abolish poverty by providing humanitarian aid, sustainable development programs and championing advocacy for our beneficiaries worldwide.
- MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning)

**Key duties and responsibilities of the Head of Quality and Accountability**:

- Develop and implement a strategy to ensure quality standards are introduced to all levels of the organization
- Develop plans for the organization to obtain CHS certification and lead in this area
- Support organizational learning through knowledge transfer and innovation
- Ensure Human Appeal is engaged with all relevant institutional funding networks
- Promote Human Appeal at the global level and in different forums
- Identify funding opportunities and interact with donor institutions to support institutional fund raising
- Promote Human Appeal quality management to donor institutions to support organizational capacity building
- Lead safeguarding focal persons at different levels to ensure sound implementation of safeguarding policy
- Review and support the introduction of a strong accountability framework across all levels of the organization
- Develop and initiate an organization learning platform to support exchange of knowledge and preservation of institution memory
- Create and implement a strong MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning) framework to support results oriented and quality delivery of aid
- Create a stronger due diligence and verification system to support local partners’ selection through predetermined criteria
- Develop a system to assess local partners’ capacities, identify gaps and draw the necessary capacity building plans

**What we’re looking for in our Head of Quality and Accountability**:

- Post-graduate degree (Masters, PhD) in a relevant field, such as International Development
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role or relevant area (MEAL / Quality Management / Safeguarding)
- Proven team management and leadership experience
- Computer literate with experience of using statistical software
- Passionate and knowledgeable about the international development sector
