The Wave is looking for a **Social Media Executive** to help craft and execute a captivating social calendar with a special focus on TikTok and Instagram video content. This role is a key part of The Wave’s Commercial Team whose focus is on driving new and returning customers to The Wave.

**What you will do**:

- Create and execute a captivating social calendar with a special focus on TikTok and Instagram video content. We are looking for excellent storytelling skills (both visual and written) to help build The Wave brand across owned social media channels, with content that engages our range of audiences.
- Be our in-house social media expert. Staying on top of emerging social media trends and platforms, providing instant insights to seize content opportunities.
- Production of weekly reporting of KPI data and offering deep community insights which continue to shape our social media strategy.
- Immerse yourself across the operational areas of the business, becoming a comfortable and familiar face that capitalises on content opportunities without detracting from staff responsibilities and customer experiences in the process.
- Acting as the voice of our brand, fostering meaningful connections with our community (followers, influencers, partners and ambassadors). Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions, ensuring timely and authentic interactions, working closely with the customer contact centre to trouble shoot booking issues.
- Supporting the wider marketing team with events and activations and content for paid media campaigns and partnership requirements.
- Experience in digital/social media marketing - particularly TikTok and Instagram. You have an evident passion, curiosity and drive to learn more about the digital landscape
- Confidence in using video editing software, Adobe Suite and scheduling software is a strong preference so do let us know which programs you have good experience using.
- Creative and innovative ideas to elevate our owned channels.
- Organised approach and able to smoothly juggle multiple tasks effortlessly.
- The ability to excel at adjusting tone of voice, language, and the brand story depending on the communication channel and audience.
- A love of connecting with our community via social media.
- A history of capturing content in a live sports environment would give this role a head start, and working in water sports an even bigger head start
- Excellent people skills and excited to bring their passion for social media to this role
- A strong desire to positively influence physical and mental health and wellbeing through the power of water.
