Flexo Print Finisher

Sturdy Print & Design are a family run business, established in 1973 and operating in Skelmersdale in the North West of England.

We are looking to expand our ever growing team with the addition of a print finisher/rewinder.

You will work within the print finishing team and be responsible for completing the rewinding and finishing of the master reel to clients specifications. The operator transforms the printed product into a usable form through slitting, rewinding and counting, while carrying out inspection of the printed labels.

**Main duties include**:

- Operating rewinders to convert printed materials to finished goods.
- Inspecting the quality of labels being rewound and finished.
- Producing jobs to the instructions provided.
- Being detail oriented, able to comprehend complex work instructions to produce finished goods to specification.
- Ad hoc tasks including packing and other finishing tasks.
- Assisting in other areas of production when necessary.
- Have experience working within a printing company, experience with self-adhesive labels specifically is preferable but not essential.
- Have had generic print finishing experience.
- Ideally have experience using rewinding machinery.
- 'Know what good looks like' when it comes to inspection and print quality.
- Have a keen eye for detail and be meticulous when following work instructions.
- Be a team player.
- Posess strong communication skills.

Working hours are 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm in an alternating shift pattern Monday to Friday.
